Matheson's 3-on-3 OT goal wins it for Panthers

In the first 3-on-3 overtime, Mike Matheson scored at 2:05 to help the Florida Panthers rally past the Nashville Predators 3-2 in the second game of their doubleheader at Bridgestone Arena.
Aleksander Barkov and Shane Harper scored for Florida, which trailed 2-0 less than four minutes into the game. Al Montoya made 18 saves for the Panthers before being relieved by Sam Brittain, who denied all nine shots he faced.
Nashville held an early 2-0 lead after goals from Taylor Aronson and Mike Fisher. Pekka Rinne started in goal and made 11 saves; Juuse Saros allowed two goals on 14 shots.
"We had our chances," defenseman Seth Jones told the Predators website. "We had two breakaways and quality scoring chances right in the slot, so it's back-and-forth hockey. You've got to play smart. The League wants odd-man rushes, and that's what they got. It just depends on who capitalizes first."
Each team was 0-for-3 on the power play.
