Bruins 2, Devils 0

Pavel Zacha and John Quennevillemade their preseason debuts in the Devils' exhibition opener, a 2-0 loss to the Boston Bruins at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, R.I., on Sunday.
John Quenneville, the Devils' first-round pick in 2014, skated on a line withAdam Henrique and Kyle PalmieriPavel Zacha, this year's sixth overall pick, centered Tuomo Ruutu and Lee Stempniak.
Starter Keith Kinkaid made 12 saves and split goaltending duties with Scott Wedgewood. The Devils continue the preseason schedule against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Monday.
Matt Irwin scored twice on the power play for Boston. Jonas Gustavsson and Jeremy Smith combined for the shutout.
Irwin opened the scoring at 6:12 of the second period. He scored again in the third during a 5-on-3 man advantage.
